D4 Design Profile

D4 have been working in the design industry since 1994. After gaining diploma qualifications in architectural draughting, our skills were initially developed creating floor plan layouts within a corporate head office, where the task was to create Floor Plan layouts and General Application packs for 150 new build projects over a 3 year timescale. Liaising with Project Managers and Site Co-ordinators was a key factor in order to work-up GA's from electrical schematics through to furniture layouts for construction issue.

Since then, and for over 20 years, D4 have been honing CAD skills within Corporate Organisations or smaller family owned businesses, space planning client’s offices and proposed premises, providing concept drawings from site surveys and issuing Interior workplace designs to suit the clients brief.

In 2001, D4 Design made the decision to offer a Computer Aided Design (CAD) freelance service, initially to provide a convenient Space Planning facility for Office Refurbishment companies, however the success of this developed considerably to accommodate all CAD work providing services to:

Power & Data, and Mechanical & Electrical businesses

Office Procurement and Facilities Management Services

providing a convenient in-house facility for clients requiring a freelance CAD operator.

D4 can be a huge benefit to companies where budgets are tight and the ability to employ a full time designer is limited. This avoids the arduous task of sourcing and employing staff, as well as the obvious commitment a new employee brings. Additionally, a dedicated, professional and committed freelance CAD operator gives flexibility should staff take maternity or sick leave. A convenient, ‘when required’ operator working alongside your existing staff and at your offices, under your company umbrella, provides peace of mind and a dynamic flexibility. Of course if you don't have the workspace, we can communicate directly using the convenience of technology from D4’s office, offering a cost effective alternative.
